Hi friends: It’s day 83 of 365 of the carnivore diet experiment! Also day 5 of the water fast/sea salt flush! I’m so happy it’s Friday another end to a very long and busy work week. I am now just trying to finish some work.

Hi: It’s also day 2 of 30 of the Carnivore diet. I’m going to document the benefits as I notice them. So far…

Benefits: No bloating

I do intermittent fasting and eat one meal a day. What is intermittent fasting? Intermittent fasting (or “IF”) is an eating pattern where you cycle between periods of eating and fasting. Technically, we all fast every day while we sleep. Intermittent fasting can be as simple as extending that fast a little longer.

Today, I fasted for 20 hours and I had a 4 hour eating window. I ate steak, 3 eggs and 5 slices of bacon for dinner.  I didn’t sleep that great last night. I think I maybe going through caffeine withdrawal. As some of you know, I love my coffee. I could drink coffee but I can’t drink it black. When I was doing the keto diet, I would have many keto snacks that had artificial sweeteners such as stevia. This is just a reminder that I am addicted to sugar and sugar substitutes. What is keto? The ketogenic diet is a high-fat, adequate-protein, low-carbohydrate diet. It turns the body into a fat-burning machine. The human body breaks down carbohydrates into glucose, which is used for energy or stored as glycogen in liver and muscle tissue.

I will be weighing myself day 30! Just in case you missed it. I posted a new video about my carnivore diet journey. I posted this video to keep myself accountable. I am hoping that I may help some of you, especially if you have tried everything and have had zero success with weight loss.


If you have an instagram account follow ShawnBaker1967, he is the person that actually got me interested in the carnivore diet. I was introduced to the carnivore diet when I heard his interview on @ketoconnect and the Joe Rogan podcast. When he said that all he ate was meat (mostly steak), I will admit that the concept seemed very bizarre  but their was something about this diet that I had to investigate. I don’t think I am the only one that feels this way. When I started to follow him on instagram, he had under a thousand followers. Now he has close to 17,000 in a span of a few months. I think there is something to this carnivore diet. He has so much information and inspirational posts of people that share their stories of how this diet has healed them.
