Reversing (PCOS – Hormonal Imbalance) with Vitamin D 😍 🙌
Hi family: Today I wanted to talk about Vitamin D and PCOS.
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) – This condition, which often begins with puberty, causes an imbalance of sex hormones. Over years, PCOS may slowly result in excess hair growth, irregular periods, obesity, infertility and sometimes multiple cysts on the ovaries.
Vitamin D isn’t just a vitamin but also a hormone. Not having sufficient amounts of vitamin D can affect most systems in the body. As vitamin D’s role in the human body is being studied more, we know more than ever how crucial this vitamin is for women with PCOS. Vitamin D helps with fertility, improves metabolic markers, and improves the mood.
How much Vitamin D is needed?
According to my research, the daily recommended intake for vitamin D is 600 IU each day, but this may not be enough for many women with PCOS. Now I’m sure you want to know what is the optimal amount of vitamin D for women with PCOS. I am sorry to say but it is unknown. Personally, I take 2500 IU each day. However, I recommend that you check with your doctor to find out how much you should take.
