Hello friends: I have been doing the carnivore diet experiment now for 3 months. My goal is to do it for 52 weeks. The carnivore diet is a diet that consists of eating meat when you are hungry and drinking water when you are thirsty. …
Hi friends: It’s day 37 of 365 of the carnivore diet experiment! Did you know that there was a link between dairy and acne? It’s been several days since I would re-introduce dairy into my diet. Don’t freak out, many carnivores do consume dairy products. …
Hi friends: It’s day 31 of 365 of the carnivore diet experiment! It’s also Halloween. I would say that this was probably not the best month to start this experiment. Two reasons: we celebrated Thanksgiving this month and also of course Halloween. There are so much junk food and sugar around at this time of the year. My dentist tells me that she sees a higher percentage of people because many people overindulge by eating their children’s Halloween candy. I was one of those people. I would eat more of my daughter’s Halloween candy than she did. After the first week, she was pretty much done with her gigantic bag of treats but not me. I would just gorge. I had a hard time just throwing all of those treats away. I felt like I was throwing away food or something.
In the past, I had so many issues with my teeth and gums. Sugar did that to me. The sugar and acids were very harmful to my teeth. The acids were actually dissolving the enamel, giving bacteria an inroad to begin decaying it. We all know that sugar promotes decay (cavities) but we ignore this.
Thankfully, my daughter is a teen now and she no longer goes out to Trick or Treating. So no temptations of the big bag of treats to content with this year. However, we do give out candy. What I did a couple of years ago was buy extra chips and chocolate bars so that I could have them for myself..and I hid them. I didn’t want anyone to judge me. Wow these are some deep confessions.
This year because I am doing the carnivore diet experiment I have bought two boxes of Lays chips. So about 120 bags. I didn’t buy any chocolate bars. Why tempt myself? I will give them all away, happily.
My daughter got dressed up as Mad Scientist and she gave out all the treats to the children.
Tonight’s dinner was steak and eggs!

Hi friends: It’s day 24 of 365 of the carnivore diet experiment! I have increased the amount that I have been eating at my omads! As many of you know I have incorporated intermittent fasting and the carnivore diet experiment. I fast for 20 hours and have an eating window of 4 hours.
Lately, I have been thinking that I am not eating enough. I don’t want to be in the situation. I have increased my consumption of two steaks instead of one. I usually have some bacon, sausages, or chicken wings for dessert. Sometimes I do feel I need variety. But at least one hour before I eat, the feeling for variety goes away. I actually crave that first bite of my steak. It is a beautiful feeling. The first bite of my steak is so delicious. Nothing beats eating something after fasting for 20 hours.
I am thinking about adding dairy back into my diet. I know I have mentioned that it causes me to break out. However, I have been reading some great things about goat cheese. I may just wait until I get past the one month mark and I will add a bit of goat cheese. Here is what I have found out about goat cheese. According to Dr. Axe, goat cheese provides healthy fats, is easier for many people to digest than cow’s milk cheeses, and is even a bit lower in calories and fat than other cheeses.
Goat Cheese Benefits
1. Provides Healthy Fats
Why is goat cheese a source of healthy fat? A serving of full-fat goat cheese provides about six grams of fat, much of which is saturated fat. Even though saturated fat has earned a reputation for being unhealthy and “dangerous” for your heart, there’s a lot of evidence that this isn’t the case. For example, France is one of the world’s leading consumers of cheese and butter, yet the French don’t have higher rates of heart disease compared to other nations that consume less.
The fat globules found in goat milk are smaller and tend to be easier to digest.
Caprylic acid found in goat milk and goat cheese has been found to possess antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties. Consuming caprylic acid may be helpful for fighting fungal and yeast infections, such as candida, urinary tract infections, acne, digestive problems and more.
2. Provides a great source of calcium
Like other dairy products, goat’s milk and goat cheese are great sources of calcium, which can be hard to get enough of if someone doesn’t eat many green veggies, nuts or much seafood. Having a serving or two of high-quality dairy products per day, which can include goat cheese and other raw cheeses, can provide about 10 percent to 30 percent of your daily calcium needs depending on the specific kind.
3. Provides B Vitamins, Copper and Phosphorus
Along with protein and fat, goat’s cheese also provides phosphorus, copper, B vitamins like vitamin B6 and some iron. The combination of protein, calcium and iron may help support bone formation and help with the absorption of certain minerals.
4. May Be Easier to Digest
For people with sensitivities to dairy, why is goat cheese better than regular cheese? Goat milk can be a good choice for some people who can’t digest cow’s milk because its chemical structure is slightly different. Some experts even believe that goat cheese can be safely consumed by people who are allergic to cow’s milk. One reason is because goat’s milk is lower in lactose (milk sugars) than cow milk, and the presence of lactose is a major reason why some people cannot digest dairy very well.
5. May Help Reduce Hunger and Cravings
Cheese probably doesn’t come to mind when someone mentions dieting and weight loss, but what do the studies say? Is goat cheese good for weight loss? Because goat cheese provides fat and protein, it can be helpful for controlling hunger because it’s satiating.
Today’s dinner was jerk chicken wings! I am seriously thinking about adding goat cheese to my carnivore diet experiment! I am curious to find out if it will have an impact on my acne. I have experienced acne breakouts due to consuming dairy products in the past!

Hi friends: It’s day 20 of 365 of the carnivore diet experiment! I had a beautiful night’s sleep. I slept for 7 hours but I feel like I slept for 12. As I look at my face in the mirror, my morning face is not …
Hi friends: It’s day 17 of 365 of the carnivore diet experiment! The weather is getting colder. Fall is definitely here! After work, I went for an hour-long walk. I met a friend that tried to convince me to go to the gym. No gym for me! I am starting to lean out without any gym membership.
I promised myself that I wouldn’t do any heavy workouts. I really wanted to find a way of eating that would eliminate that. Sometimes it feels like a vicious cycle. Restrict calories and exercise like crazy. Things would seem to be going great. Then I would have a bad day! Bad day meaning a day of bad eating…eating lots of carbs and junk food! I just want to find something that works in the long term. I want to do a diet that I can adopt as a lifestyle change. I’m ok with eating just meat and drinking water or tea. I love the fact that I can now ditch the crazy exercise days. This carnivore diet seems to be working for me and I’m really happy about that.
I am noticing that not eating three meals a day and not going to the gym has freed up so much time. I was always so busy. I would eat like a crazy person. Then try to burn it all off with exercise. I have so much more time during the day to start new projects. How many times have you eaten lunch and then two hours later you are hungry?
We’re all told that we have to eat lunch. This mealtime is supposed to give us this amazing boost of energy, but I’ve noticed for me in the past that I would just fall into a 2 pm slump. My productivity decreases and I would feel drained.
While doing the carnivore diet and omad combined. When I fast throughout the entire day, I experience this amazing surge of energy that lasts the entire day. Remember I am not even drinking coffee! However, I am sipping water!
Today’s dinner was steak and chicken wings!
