I DRANK CELERY JUICE FOR 7 DAYS!!!
Hi family: Yes, I drank celery juice for 7 days and I liked it! There has been so much hype on social media that I just had to try it. Celery juice contains vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin K, folate, calcium, potassium, sodium, magnesium, phosphorus, electrolytes, water and smaller amounts of other vitamins and minerals. On average, an 8-ounce serving of celery juice has about 70 calories, and 11 grams of sugar.
What is celery juice said to do? In his book Liver Rescue, Anthony William states that “celery juice is one of the most powerful and healing juices we can drink. Just 16 ounces of fresh celery juice every morning on an empty stomach can transform your health and digestion in as little as one week.” Personally, I recommend that you drink only organic celery. Celery is known for being exposed to a lot of pesticides. For years, it has appeared on the Environmental Working Group’s Dirty Dozen list of produce with the most pesticides. Be sure to wash your celery thoroughly, or buy organic if you can.
Benefits of celery juice: Lowers cholesterol. Celery’s fiber may help lower cholesterol levels because it picks up excess cholesterol compounds in your gut and pushes them out in the elimination process.
Highly nutritious. Celery is loaded with essential minerals and vitamins such as folate, potassium, vitamin B6, vitamin K and vitamin C. A cocktail for the skin. The luteolin in celery protects skin from the inside and prevents UV-induced damage. Some swear by celery’s skin healing properties, saying that it helped clear up skin conditions like psoriasis, eczema and acne.
Improves digestion I certainly saw an improvement in my digestion. It helps keep your bowel movements regular, reducing constipation; helps keep your bowels healthy, and aids in weight maintenance. It’s good for constipation, bloating, puffiness and water retention, acting as a gentle, mild, natural laxative and diuretic. I think celery juice might just be the cure for chronic constipation. Hmmmm.
Aids the Liver. Studies show that celery helps reduce fat build-up in the liver. The nutrients in celery protect the liver, and actually help the liver produce enzymes that help flush fat and toxins out.
Helps with bladder infections. According to the Medical Meduim, if you are prone to UTIs or bladder infections, celery juice can be a lifesaver because it reduces uric acid and stimulates urine production. A study showed that celery leaf extract can lower blood pressure as well as reduce triglycerides and cholesterol in animals that have been diagnosed with hypertension. My juicer: Medical Medium:
