Day 71 of 365 | The Carnivore Diet Experiment! Bye Acne!
Hi friends: It’s day 71 of 365 of the carnivore diet experiment! I mention before that a few weeks ago, I had a slip up with dairy. I just wanted to say that I have learned my lesson. I haven’t had any and haven’t bought any. The cheese made me break out! Yikes!
I have notice that my face is starting to clear up again and I am really happy about that. I have had acne since the age 12. As a teen a looked forward to becoming an adult in hopes that I would be acne free.
Never did I think that I would be struggling with acne as an adult. As a teen I wasn’t the greatest at taking care of my skin. I would load tons of coverup in order to hid the acne which caused me to get even more acne.
Now as an adult with acne, I am left 25 year old acne scars. I have tried everything under the sun to treat my scars. It has been a vicious cycle. I see a new pimple. Then a new scar forms.
Now I am really acne free for the first and it feels wonderful. I am saddened that my doctors remedy was prescriptions such as antibiotics, creams, and birth control. While I took those I still had flare-ups. I was on these meds for 25 years. That’s really bad. I wish I had noticed the connection between dairy and acne. I wish they were educated about nutrition. It’s a shame really.
One of the other things I noticed was…I have been giving myself honey and turmeric facials. I have noticed that I touch my face a lot. The places that I touch my face most often is where I get a lot of breakouts. So I need to stop touching my face.
The elimination of sugar, I believe is also helping my face.
My next journey will be to find a way to heal my acne scars. I will keep you posted!
Week 10 health benefits so far:
Acne – My skin is acne free. Now working on my acne scars.
Digestion – Still great!
Sleep – Same as last week – I am sleeping throughout the night. Insomnia cured!
Skin – No change in my ezcema.
Weight – Current weight is 135.4???

Week 2 – I was 137.2!
Week 3 – I was 138.8!
Week 4 – I was 137.2!
Week 5 – I was 137.4!
Week 6 – I was 135.2!
Week 7 – I was 136.6!
Week 8 – I was 136.0!
Week 9 – I was 135.4!
Week 10 – I was 135.8!
