Day 66 of 365 | The Carnivore Diet Experiment!
Hi friends: It’s day 66 of 365 of the carnivore diet experiment! Some of my friends know that I am doing the carnivore diet but not all of them know. When I sense that their is real interest then I do share what I have been doing. I never force what I am doing on someone else.
Recently, I told one of my friends and she wanted to try the carnivore diet right away. I cautioned her to try a typical low carb diet first because the carnivore diet can be really intense.
For those of you that don’t know, according to perfectketo.com, “the typical low-carb diet does not have a fixed definition. This diet is usually lower in carbs, higher in protein than a typical βWesternβ diet.
This type of low-carb diet is usually based on meats, fish, eggs, nuts, seeds, vegetables, fruits, and healthy fats. It minimizes the intake of high-carb foods like grains, potatoes, sugary drinks, and high-sugar processed foods.
By switching to this dietary approach from a higher-carb, westernized diet, most people will lose weight and improve their health. Low carb dieters will typically decrease carbs to increase weight loss and increase carbs to maintain their weight and/or fuel high-intensity exercise.”
After trying this low carb diet, trying the carnivore diet for a few days would be a realistic goal. I think it’s really important to wean the body off carbs slowly because eliminating carbs does have an effect physically and psychologically. It mimics drug withdrawal in some cases.
