Day 44 of 365 | The Carnivore Diet Experiment! Paleo vs Carnivore diet!
Hi friends: It’s day 44 of 365 of the carnivore diet experiment! I have been asked if the carnivore diet is similar to the paleo diet but without the vegetables. First of all, the Paleo eating involves sticking to eating: lots of meats and fish, fresh fruit and vegetables, and eggs and nuts. The diet is also rather restrictive: no grains, refined sugar, processed foods, dairy, or even legumes such as lentils or beans.
The carnivore diet is basically eating meat when hungry and drinking when thirsty. Some carnivores eat three meals a day and many eat just one meal. If you are eating steak daily, one meal is usually enough. Eating for example for me eating a 12-ounce rib-eye steak is very satisfying and filling. In the beginning, I felt that I need some form of dessert. So I would have bacon.
Paleo and the carnivore are very different. The carnivore diet is pretty much bare bones. You just eat as much meat as you like until full. I would say that the paleo would be a great starting point for people that want to lose weight. However, if you want to challenge yourself and be at optimal health. Then carnivore is the ultimate goal.
In my case, the carnivore diet was a step I took after trying the ketogenic diet. I missed the paleo step altogether. I heard about paleo while I was doing keto.
Paleo and carnivore are not similar. If you are doing great with paleo stick with it. Do whatever that works for you.
Today’s dinner was ribeye steak!
