Day 32 of 365 | The Carnivore Diet Experiment!
Hi friends: It’s day 32 of 365 of the carnivore diet experiment! I have completed one month of the carnivore diet experiment! This is the longest that I have ever gone without eating any carbs, vegetables, sugar etc.
Many of my followers are very interested in knowing how much weight I have lost! This aspect of the carnivore diet seems to be the most popular. People want to know if they can lose weight on this diet. I will caution you that if the only reason you are interested in this diet is because of the rumors you have heard about weight loss. I will say to you. Don’t do this diet.
Some people lose weight and some people gain weight. Everybody is different. Now if you are coming in overweight and have never restricted your food intake. Yes, you will lose weight but if you are coming in with a ketogenic diet background. I mean you are tracking. You are counting calories. You are exercising like crazy. You may get a rude awakening. That scale may move in the wrong direction. What you will be experiencing is your body taking in the nutrients it needs and holding on it which results in weight gain.
What is important is your body measurement may say the opposite. The way your clothes are fitting may tell a different story. As for myself, my starting weight was 139.6 and my end weight for the month of October was 137.2
What I am saying is this diet is more important than just weight loss. There are so many benefits.
One month completed health benefits so far:
Acne – I have a few new breakouts.
Digestion – Massive improvement! No more bloating! As for last night, I did have a flare-up. I am not sure why. I added a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to one glass of water and sipped with a straw. A half an hour later the reflux went away.
Sleep – Same as last week – I am sleeping throughout the night.
Weight – Current weight is 137.2!??
Week 1 – I was 139.6!
Week 2 – I was 137.2!
Week 3 – I was 138.8!
For this entire month I have only eaten meat products mostly steak, bacon, chicken and eggs. I ate one meal a day usually dinner. I ate until I was full and didn’t count calories. I stopped all crazy exercising and downgraded to nightly strolls. I drank water throughout the day. Some days I added apple cider vinegar to my water. On a few occasions I had milk thistle tea to change things up.
I am really happy that I decided to do this experiment. One of the biggest changes that I have experienced is…my sleep has improved. Falling asleep is so much easier. I do not feel as stressed anymore. I think that has a lot to do with the elimination of sugar. When I wake up, I feel so refreshed and I don’t feel like I’m waking up with a mild hangover. I wake up ready to take on the day. I am very interested to see how I will feel after two months of doing this carnivore experiment.
