Day 30 of 365 | The Carnivore Diet Experiment!
Hi friends: It’s day 30 of 365 of the carnivore diet experiment! I am feeling great! I cannot express to you the importance of drinking water. It doesn’t matter what diet you are experimenting with. If you are doing the carnivore diet combined with intermittent fasting, you may notice that you are hungry during your fasting periods. Now I have noticed from my experience that what I am feeling is actually thirst and not hunger.
As many of you know, I work from home. I always have my glass of water or water bottle on my desk. I am constantly sipping throughout the day.
Drinking more water is the best diet tip. Here are some things that I have learned about the importance of drinking water while dieting.
Drinking an adequate amount of cold, refreshing water is important for your health. I have read that you can live much longer without food than you can without water. I have fasted for 6 days and the only thing that I drank was water. I did get to a point where I didn’t even feel hungry.
Water plays an important role in all body functions and processes, including digestion and elimination. When you’re on a diet, water also acts as a weight-loss aid because it can help you eat less. It actually acts as an appetite suppressant and tricks the brain into thinking you are full. I have noticed that drinking water before or with a meal helped me feel full sooner.
Growing up the recommendation was 6 to 8 glass of water a day. However, I think that is just a generalization. Don’t wait to feel thirsty to start drinking. It’s a good idea to sip water throughout the day, on a regular basis and listen to your body regarding how much you actually need to drink.
If you have joined me in this carnivore diet experiment, don’t forget to drink your water. Coffee and tea are fine but that crystal clear water is so important for your health. I also like to change things up. Lately, I have been drinking carbonated water as well. I love S.Pellegrino Sparkling Natural Mineral Water, and Perrier Carbonated Mineral Water glass bottles only. Carbonated water tricks me into thinking I am drinking pop but without the artificial sweeteners and sugar.
Today’s dinner was steak, eggs, bacon and two bottles of S.Pellegrino sparkling natural mineral water. Yum!
