Day 2 of 365 | The Carnivore Diet Experiment!

Hello friends: It’s day two of the carnivore diet experiment! If you are following on Youtube, I have made many videos about intermittent and I just wanted to let you know that I have not abandoned intermittent fasting. I am incorporating “if” and the carnivore diet together. I will still eat one meal a day. I will still fast for 20 hours and have an eating window of 4 hours.

My freezer is stuffed with meat. On the weekend, my husband and I went to the Metro grocery store and they had a massive sale on rib eye steaks. We bought 6 family packs. The average cost was 16.00 dollars. Each pack consists of 2 gigantic steaks. So, 96.00 for six steaks that’s a great deal. We also bought two packs of chicken thighs, shrimp, scallops, wings, and bacon. I also bought some frozen vegetables, fruit, various bread and snacks for school for my daughter. The meat will be mostly eaten by myself and my husband. He will be doing the experiment with me but he will still have fruit in the morning. I will be doing the zero carb version the carnivore diet. I’m so excited.

I will admit that this is going to be a difficult month. I live in Canada and we do celebrate Thanksgiving. It is on Monday October 8. For my husbands side of the family we usually go to the Mandarin. The Mandarin is a Chinese restaurant that serves buffet style food. The dessert table is my demise. I have an easy fix this year. I will only be eating meat and their is so much variety. I will focus on eating only meat and seafood. I will avoid the dessert table. For my side of the family it is held at my sisters. She loves to cook. It is usually turkey, lasagna, pasta, pizza and a table filled with desserts. I am just going to have to use my will power. No desserts for me this year. I will focus on the turkey.

I have changed my exercise routine up. I will not be doing intense workouts during this experiment. However, I will be going for walks after work and before my meal. Walking is a good way to unwind after a long day. Today it was raining. Therefore, no walk for me today.

I drank water during the day. I felt hungry. Why? Because I forgot to take my black seed oil yesterday. Black seed oil is an excellent appetite suppressant. I continued to sip water and I was fine. No crazy cravings today. I had steak and bacon for dinner. It was delicious. Yum!
