DAY 16 OF THE 30 DAY CARNIVORE DIET CHALLENGE!
Hi everyone: It’s day 201 of omad and day 16 of the carnivore diet. Today I wanted to change it up a little. So I had a surf and turf. I had steak and shrimp for dinner. It was delicious!
I know that this diet may seem odd to some of you. Especially since when you tell somebody that your going on a diet, the last thing you’d expect them to do is tell you that they will be loading up on fatty meats like bacon, steak, sausages and burgers.
Yes, this diet is quiet controversial. It is the opposite of the diet that have been popular. If I told you that I would be avoiding vegetables, watery broths and grains but instead I would be eating meat to promote wellness. I’m sure you would be puzzled. You are certainly here because you are curious and if you are curious please do your research. You must first wrap your had around the basis.
The rules are simple: Avoid plant-based foods, like fruit or vegetables, and processed carbohydrate foods, like cereals and pasta. Just eat meat and drink water.
I would honestly say that this carnivore diet is a more extreme version of the ketogenic diet which encourages the eating of fats and proteins. Eating high carbohydrate food are discouraged. With the keto diet, you’re still encouraged to eat plant foods alongside meat dishes, while the carnivore plan takes everything off the menu but animals.
I would recommend mastering the ketogenic diet before attempting the carnivore diet. If your diet is mostly carbs, you may struggle with the carnivore diet. If you are stalling on the keto diet, this may be the perfect time to experiment with the carnivore diet.
