Day 12 of 365 | The Carnivore Diet Experiment!
Hello friends: It’s day 12 of 365 of the carnivore diet experiment! Have you taken your B vitamins today? If you are eating red meat, chances are you are getting an adequate dose. Steaks are packed with B vitamins. B vitamins are components of a number of different enzyme systems in the body, including those responsible for the release of energy from food. They also contribute to the health of the blood and nervous system.
However, meat, fish and animal-derived foods, such as milk, are the only foods that naturally provide vitamin B 12. For this reason, people who exclude such foods from their diet are at risk of having inadequate intakes.
Red meat contains a number of B vitamins: thiamin (vitamin B1), riboflavin (vitamin B2), pantothenic acid, folate, niacin (vitamin B3), vitamin B6 and B12. Red meat can be termed a rich source of vitamin B12 and also makes an important contribution to B12 intake.
I have been eating a steak a day which is rich in B vitamins while experiencing the carnivore diet experiment. I am not surprised that many carnivores report increased mental clarity and decreased anxiety. When you fuel your body with the best food sources, the body automatically balances brain chemistry. I love this benefit. Have you noticed an improvement in your mental health because of the carnivore diet?
What’s for dinner today? Of course, steak, eggs and a side of bacon!
