CARNIVORE DIET- SIDE EFFECTS OF QUITTING!
Hello friends: I also want to say thank you so very much to the carnivore diet community that has reached out to me in direct messages and emails. Also, to those that commented on my last video last week regarding me quitting the carnivore diet. I was expecting a lot of backlash but actually, I got quite the opposite. I got a lot of love and support. I’m very grateful for that. I just wanted to give a little recap. Basically, I did the carnivore diet for four months. I had wanted to do the carnivore diet experiment for a year, but unfortunately, I quit the diet
due to the fact that I could not get past my cravings for sugar and carbs. I uploaded a video last week the video explained why I quit the diet. That brings everybody up to speed, I hope.
Once I had quit the carnivore diet. I decided that I wasn’t going to be making any more videos about the carnivore diet. But then I thought why am I only vlogging about my successes? Why am I not able to vlog about my failures? Maybe there are people out there that can learn from my failures and hey maybe I can also learn from my failures. When I quit, I had decided that I would eat meat Monday to Friday. I would be just eating meat Monday to Friday and on the weekends. I would allow some carbs. Well, it didn’t actually work out that way.
What side effects have I experienced since quitting the carnivore diet? The first problem was now I was eating vegetables and fruit again and carbs and a whole lot of other crap. So, the first hurdle that I started to face was that my digestive issues came back and they came back with a vengeance. It was weird to be experiencing acid reflux. I had gone for months while on the carnivore diet without acid reflux, and then it was back again, and I had a horrible bout of.
I thought to myself. Why…did I quit the carnivore diet? The second side effect I had was my weekend of eating Vietnamese food, pizza, and other carbs. After eating I felt exhausted.
All of my energy was depleted, and I do believe that had to do with the sugar that was in the noodles and that was in the pizza. Ugh! So, to sum up, adding carbs back into my diet made me feel absolutely awful and I do think that my choice of carbs was not the best and even though I felt so much better on the carnivore diet.
I don’t think that I could eat meat every single day for the rest of my life. Don’t get me wrong. I do realize that meat is the best fuel for my body. I realized that I do have to investigate these cravings. Why is it that I am craving carbs when I’m on an all-meat diet? Moving forward I will continue eating meat five days a week. On the weekends, I will allow carbs. However, it will be a better choice of carbs.
Some of you seem very interested and how the diet feels doing it this way. I’ve decided that I will continue capturing my before and after body changes and progress, up until the 52-week mark. Whether I’m gaining or losing weight, this will still be captured. I
will include in the video week one up until week of 52. Please let me know if this is something, you’re interested in seeing in one complete video. I’m still trying to figure things out and I’m still trying to find a balance. As one of my YouTube friends said in the comments. Why does it have to be all or nothing why can’t there be a balance? I would love to hear your thoughts. Thank you all for your love and support.
